Đội tàu Vinalines (Tổng công ty Hàng hải Việt Nam) là đội tàu chủ lực của vận tải biển Việt Nam. Xét theo chủng loại, cơ cấu đội tàu Vinalines bao gồm tàu hàng khô, tàu dầu và tàu container. Trong đó, tàu container chiếm tỉ trọng thấp nhất, dưới 10% tổng trọng tải đội tàu Vinalines trong cả giai đoạn 2006 - 2015. Vậy, Vinalines cần làm thế nào để hợp lý hóa cơ cấu đội tàu container trong thời gian tới? Bài báo này đề xuất một số giải pháp hợp lý hóa cơ cấu đội tàu container của Vinalines trên cơ sở tính toán số lượng và lựa chọn cỡ tàu container cho tuyến vận tải nội địa và quốc tế.
Vinalines shipping fleet is the largest fleet in Vietnam consisting of various kind of vessels such as bulk carriers, tankers and container ships. Container ships account for a smallest proportion, approximately 10%, in a total number of ships in the fleet during the period from 2006 to 2015. It raises a question, is a structure of the fleet appropriate, is there a need of restructuring? Therefore, this article will propose some recommendations about restructuring the fleet in term of the quantity and the capacity of container ships for national and international routes.
